FAQs

How long will the session last?

The most popular session my clients choose is 1 hour long, but if you'd like to extend the session for multiple outfit changes or additional locations, there's an extra charge for every 30 minutes. Please refer to the pricing listed under Services/Photoshoots for more details.

What locations are suitable for the shoot?

Session can take place indoors or outdoors, yet most of my clients opt for the beach as their preferred location. Auckland offers numerous stunning beaches to select from. However I'm open to hearing your suggestions and preferences.

What should we wear for the shoot?

Select outfit that strikes a balance between comfort and a touch of elegance, considering these images will be cherished for years to come. After booking, each client receives a clothing styling guide, offering valuable tips and recommendations on colour options, style, and other helpful information to ensure you look your best. Feel free to share your clothing options with me, and together, we can choose the perfect look for your shoot.

We are camera shy, will you direct us on how to pose?

Absolutely! The majority of my sessions are a mix of both worlds - posing and documenting. You will have a relaxed session where everyone can just be themselves, and I’ll guide you to make sure the moments are captured as they happen. If you book 1hr session with me, I'll arrange a complimentary discovery call so we can discuss details and I will answer all the questions you might have. and ensure you feel at ease on the day.

Is there a deposit required to secure our booking?

Yes! A $300 deposit is required for any session. While the deposit is non-refundable, it is possible to transfer* it to a different date in case of unsuitable weather or an unexpected emergency. I aim to stay flexible and accommodating to your needs, as I understand that life can be unpredictable at times.

*Subject to my availability

Are there additional fees for travel or special requests?

There is no additional fee for sessions held across the North Shore, Auckland. However, any location outside this area may incur an additional fee, depending on the distance I need to travel.

How would you describe your photography style?

My photography approach involves capturing both simple posed images and relaxed, natural shots with a touch of movement. I also like to include multiple close-up shots as well as landscape images, to remember beautiful location you visited. In my editing process, I tend to lean towards more muted, earthy tones, creating a style that complements prints and serves as a wonderful addition to anyone's home.

Are there any particular moments or emotions you strive to capture during the session?

I aim to prioritise what truly matters – your connection. It brings me joy to witness the care men show for their wives, whether it's through simple gestures like fixing their hair and holding hands. I also love seeing women appreciate the attentiveness provided by their partner. While I do enjoy capturing laughter and the serene romance, my main focus is highlighting the presence of women in the picture. I find great joy in capturing the beauty of every women.

Do you provide hair and makeup services?

Unfortunately, not yet. I wish sometime in the future I could provide these services. But at the moment these are up to you to organise.

Do you offer clothing to hire?

Not at this stage. That would be up to you to organise, but I am more than happy to assist with my professional advice on the best outfit.

How far in advance should we book our session?

It's preferable to book at least 2 weeks in advance, but if I have availability, I can do also the next day photoshoot. I just need to pack my bag and charge the batteries.

What happens if the weather is unfavourable on the day of the shoot?

For outdoor sessions, we always rely on the weather, so I aim to remain as flexible as possible. If the weather is unsuitable, such as strong winds and rain, we'll reschedule for the next available day. Overcast conditions are not considered unsuitable weather; in fact, they can often be even better than clear sky by reducing harsh shadows. Just remember to dress according to conditions.

Can we include pets in our session?

Sure thing! They just need to be well-behaved in public areas, and, of course, we need to check if the location allows pets.
